Dr. Ihsan Bu-Hulaiga, External Consultant _______________________________
Dr. Ihsan Bu-Hulaiga is the founder and Managing Director of Joatha Consulting based in Riyadh and established in the second half of 2002. Dr. Ihsan has 30 years experience in the banking and consultancy sectors as well as establishing and developing a large number of projects. In addition, he served on the Saudi Arabian Shura Council for three terms and serves as Chairman of Watan Investment and Securities Company. Dr. Bu-Hulaiga currently is founder and sits on the board of a number of Saudi public companies. He started his career with two of the Kingdom's leading banks - the National Commercial Bank and the Arab National Bank. He then moved to undertake an Academic position at the King Fahd University. In 1990, Dr. Bu-Hulaiga moved to consulting in the manufacturing sector and later founded Joatha.
He holds a first degree and MBA from King Fahd University and has a PhD in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin in the USA. He has authored a large number of articles and a book on reforming the Saudi economy in 2003.
