Ellie Cooper, Associate Director _______________________________________
Ellie Cooper holds the position of Associate Director at Volterra, having joined in 2003. She holds a degree in Economics and Mathematics from the University of Cambridge.
Ellie acts as the project manager for Volterra's projects in the Development and Planning area. She has specific expertise in the area of economic impact evaluation, socio-economic assessment, regeneration and transport economics and has managed a number of projects which went to Public Inquiry.

Recent or on-going work includes:
- Evaluating the economic cases for additional runways at Stansted and Heathrow airports
- Assessing the economic benefits of High Speed One in the South East and considering the potential for high speed lines elsewhere across the UK
- Considering the economies of potential new eco-towns
- Business Planning for a proposed mixed use development in Croydon and understanding the economic and regeneration benefits of the scheme as a whole
- Updating and expanding the regeneration case for Thames Gateway Bridge, specifically analysing the potential effects of increased accessibility on the local economy
