Paul spoke at a large academic consortium sponsored by the EPSRC on Complexity Science in the Real World.  Here is his presentation, which he illustrated with examples taken from some of the models which Volterra has built for clients in both the public and private sectors.  An expanded version is being written up by Bridget and Paul to the be presented at the European Conference on Complex Systems in Brussels in September.   ‘Huge advances have been made in the science of complexity and social and economic issues,’ says Paul, ‘and the real challenge is now to get the academic community focused on delivering real benefits to decision makers’
