Volterra provide expert economic analysis to support developers in their goals to achieve planning permission. We produce Economic Impact Reports, and Socio-Economic chapters of Environmental Statements in support of planning applications.
Our clients include Arrowcroft, for whom we have built the economic case for arena-led development of the Croydon Gateway site and Land Securities for whom we have provided the socio-economic analysis of their proposals for modernising Victoria station. Further afield than London, Volterra have worked with Bee Bee Developments to examine the interaction between population and employment and the implications for growth in North Northamptonshire.
Our work in this field falls fairly evenly between public and private sector clients, and we have considered the economic impacts of a wide range of proposed developments, from a racecourse, an arena and a cement plant to more conventional office and residential developments. We also have significant experience in valuing the regeneration benefits of proposed transport developments.
Volterra have been integral in forming the Mayor’s case to government that Crossrail will make a net contribution to the output of the UK, which was an essential part of moving to presentation of the Hybrid Bill for Crossrail which is currently going through Parliament. Volterra are also involved in the regeneration case for Thames Gateway Bridge (TGB).
